We are having an awesome time already here in Tanga. We finally arrived at our hotel yesterday (Sunday) at 3.30pm. It was a very long journey all in all. We were greeted at the airport by our friend Wallace, who as usual has been a terrific host so far.
Today was our first day in school and from the second that our car door opened we were welcomed with open arms. An elaborate entertainment show was put on for us with singing, dancing and many, many smiles. Mrs Harrison and I had a good African bum wiggle along with the children and teachers! Well, it would have been rude not to!!

The chicken shed was officially opened today too. We had red ribbon to cut and a big crowd to work! We are pleased to report back that the shed is very accommodating for the 59 chickens that currently live there. They are very happy chickens and are already laying eggs that the villagers are buying. Sustainability at it's best! We were even lucky enough to try the eggs for breakfast...nom nom!
