Summer Term 2015
Our topic this term is Prehistoric Britain and the children have already made a great start with their presentations in class during our unlocking session on Tuesday. We will be looking at the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages and investigating how we discover prehistory.
In literacy we will be looking at play scripts and evaluating evidence. Our grammar focus will be plurals, possession and apostrophes.
We will continue to send home 10 spellings every Monday for the children to learn for a spelling test the next Monday morning. Results will be recorded in the children’s home liaison books.
Mental maths passport tests and times table grid tests take place once a week. Our class average for the times table challenge is now 84%, a real improvement since September. Well done everybody.
In Science we will be looking at living things and their habitats and will be learning cricket and rounders during PE sessions.
Our testing week will be held the week commencing 18/05/15 and reports will be sent out 03/07/15.
We have several exciting trips lined up and a science week to look forward to.
Many thanks for all your support
