Writing
This week in maths we have been learning about the order of the days of the week.
Can you have a go at writing them?
There is a sheet below to help you remember how we write them with our wonderful cursive writing.
There are also a number of writing activities in this weeks topic work.
Handwriting (not 'hanwriting' like last week!):
Last week I posted the first 100 High Frequency words that we should be able to read and write in Reception and Year 1. Can you write some more of them?
Reading
I hope that you are continuing to read regularly. This week I will add a comprehension activity to the reading page. It has three different levels. You can either choose a level or work through all three during the week. Have fun!
New reading books added to the 'reading' page with updated weblink to Collins 'Home Readers'.
Continue to read and handwrite the high frequency word activity from last week.
Book Trust have a selection of books to read together and listen to online...

Do not forget the wonderful 'Alphablocks' as well - you can access these through YouTube or BBC Iplayer.
Read Write Inc:
Each day the Read Write Inc team post sound videos on their youtube channel.
For our children they can revise Set 2 and learn Set 3.
NEW DAILY FILMS - These are slightly more challenging, but worth a watch. They are based on set 3 sounds and are words that are 'longer'. My advice would be to watch the video with your child and pause each word to give them time to sound it out.
