Human growth
This week we are going to find out about human growth.
We are all humans and we are all alive / living.
How do we know that we are alive? Think back to last weeks video...
How do humans change as they grow?
Are there parts of the body that stay the same?
Can you remember the names for parts of the body?
Have a go at labelling a picture of a body.
You can draw your own or use the following sheet to help you.
What were you like as a baby?
Have a look at some photos of you as a baby. Have a look at some photos of other members of your family as babies. How have they changed?
You are a child
What can you do that babies cannot do?
Can you draw a picture of yourself and around the outside of your picture write all the things that you are good at?
Growing up...
Have a chat to your parents and grandparents.
Talk to them about what it was like for them growing up.
Ask them about their favourite toys, games, tv programmes etc.
Talk to them about their jobs, friends, skills and anything else you would like to find out.
Why do we grow up?
Time for a little bit of philosophy...
Let's paint a picture...
Have you heard of Leonardo da Vinci?
He is a very famous artist and inventor. He was very keen on asking questions, learning from nature and painting portraits (what is a portrait?) of people.
Can you find out about him using the internet?
What was his most famous portrait?
Can you create your very own portrait of a member of your family?
Email your portraits to me when you have finished.
