Hello Class 4
You excelled yourselves last week! Thank you very much for all of your motivational speeches: I certainly feel like I want to continue and cross Antarctica with you. I am also grateful to the artists who sent in such wonderful masterpieces this week.
I knew you wouldn’t let me down Year 6. Congratulations to all of you who tried the Spelling, Grammar and Reading papers. You all passed with flying colours!
We left Shackleton's expedition with Dog Town being evacuated and the ice cracking. On Monday, you will find out what happened next and then for most of the week it is all about food - something I know that you all enjoy. Fortunately, the science clips will remind you about how important a healthy lifestyle is.
With that in mind, and with all the sunny weather that we have been having, I have added some tennis to our PE section. There are some really good ideas for practising your skills at home.
Keep smiling Class 4!
PS. A special message for Year 6 - Please scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will find some important information from Hanley Castle High School.
Hanley Castle High School have sent a film clip for you to watch about going up to high school. There is also a link to a webpage for your parents to look at, please tell them.
Mr Pratley brought round your transition packs. Inside, there was a ‘Getting To Know You’ form. If you haven’t returned these to Hanley Castle, please can you do so as soon as possible (ideally before half term) because it will help them to organise your tutor groups.
A little bird told me that you have got your Leavers’ hoodies. They looked fantastic – I hope you are enjoying wearing them.
