We all had a fun and informative trip to Envirosort. The children very much enjoyed meeting Jenny, she gave them lots of facts about recycling and they can now all pass on these tips to their adults. Ask the children how many pieces of toast can be toasted from recycling one tin can...After we had fun in the classroom we were fortunate enough to view the factory from the viewing platform and see the huge machines in action. We enjoyed watching the forklifts move around but we're keen on the smell of the rubbish!
Bonfire Night
To celebrate bonfire night in Forest school we made a fire and discussed fire safety and also manmade and natural items, which items would be safe on a fire and which would not be. To finish our session we finished with a delicious toasted marshmallow!

The author Chloe Inkpen read her fantastic book called 'Mrs Blackhat', the children had a wonderful time creating spells with her trying to turn the ginger cat black!
We saw a brilliant puppeteer retelling and acting the story 'The Ugly Duckling', the puppets were fascinating to watch dance around the stage.
