Our primary school’s Mathematics program is designed with the intent of helping every student reach their full potential in maths. We believe that all children can achieve in maths and we provide opportunities for them to challenge and better themselves. Our curriculum fosters a sense of curiosity and a deep and secure understanding of maths.
We aim to develop resilience, independence, and confidence in our students. We encourage them to adopt a ‘can do’ attitude and understand that they might not be able to solve a problem yet, but with perseverance, they will. We see mistakes as an essential part of learning, a stepping stone towards mastery.
We encourage students to discover and learn from each other, fostering a collaborative learning environment. We strive to instill a sense of enjoyment in maths, encouraging students to ‘be all they can be’ in this subject.
We aim to equip our students with the skills to reason and problem-solve effectively. Through our Maths program, we hope to inspire a lifelong love for maths and a recognition of its importance in their everyday lives.
