If your child is away from school for a short time and is well enough to complete some school work, then these are helpful links that provide useful work.
The Maths link is updated weekly depending where we are. It would be good for the children to watch the video links and then workbooks are available for collection from the school. If it is not possible to collect the workbooks, then practical activities and discussions are good too. The videos are organised from right to left: Monday (top left) Tuesday (top right) Wednesday (below Monday) Thursday (below Wednesday) and finally Friday.
The English unit of work is one that KS1 children are expected to complete at some stage. There are 10 English lessons, which is more than adequate, feel free to do as much as you feel is appropriate with your child. We will cover this genre in class, but some pre teaching will be beneficial. It is, of course, always also extremely beneficial to read with you child and enjoy books with you also.
Our topic this half term is 'Mr Men and Little Miss' which the children are enjoying and they love to draw and make the characters. There can be lots of philosophy around the characters too discussing different scenarios and personalities. I hope that this is of some use to you should you find yourself at home with your child.
Many thanks for your continued support, it is appreciated.
